We live in a world today that seeks peace. Peace with our neighbors, peace with other countries, peace among different parties, etc.
Some people think they have peace, but all they have is positive thinking, or make believe peace.
The world cannot give you peace. Positive thinking cannot bring you peace. People cannot give you peace. The government cannot give you peace. They can say they want to give all peace, but true peace only comes from the Lord.
The wicked do not have peace.
Isaiah 48:22 "There is no peace, saith the Lord unto the wicked."
Isaiah 59:8 "The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths; whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.
The Lord wants to give you peace.
John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
Isaiah 26:3 "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee: Because he trusteth in thee."
Peace of God is only attained through Jesus.
Acts 10:36 "The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
John 16:33 "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
Phil. 4:7 "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Then there is 'Peace with God'
We cannot have Peace with God, if we don't have peace with our fellowmen.
We lose OUR way, and everything becomes HIS way.
Phil. 2:3 "Let nothing be done through strife or vain glory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves."
God wants us to have Peace with HIM.
Romans 5;1 "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."
When you return to God, then he will restore the joy of your salvation and the Peace with HIM.
Jesus said it this way.
Matthew 5:9 "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God."
Do you have the Peace of GOD?
Do you have Peace with GOD?
You can have both of these today, but you must come to HIM.
